The feedback from our first course was mind-blowingly positive. Now, we are thrilled to bring you another part of this unique English program. This is a one-of-a-kind online language program that puts you in the driving seat.
Welcome to a new style of asynchronous learning that is focused on keeping you motivated to succeed. My team of highly experienced language teachers, researchers, and online learning professionals have helped me to create one of the best student-led language learning programs available online. My team has worked with some of the biggest learning institutions in the world and truly knows what it takes to build your accuracy and your fluency in English, and also understands how to do that in a student-led, online environment. This is the second of 6 courses that will make up a complete English Language program.

Who is this for?
As 'B1: Preliminary' is an intermediate course, we encourage enrollment from learners who feel ready to move to an intermediate level, as well as B1/B2 level students who want to brush up on their skills.
Our courses require active learners; keen students who will participate and complete all the tasks and activities, and interact within the ELAN community.
Language is a tool for communication, therefore our students must be willing to communicate with other students in order to complete the course and achieve their goals.
What can I expect from the course/lessons?
The B1 course contains 8 lessons, and within each lesson is a range of topics. The 8 lessons are:
Lesson 1: Your English journey
Lesson 2: Talking about your English journey with friends
Lesson 3: Talking about travelling in English
Lesson 4: Arranging a job interview
Lesson 5: Talking about yourself at work
Lesson 6: Maintaining social conversations
Lesson 7: Talking about your future
Lesson 8: The final project
The content in this course consists of a variety of reading, listening, speaking, and writing opportunities. You will have:
- videos to watch
- interactive activities for comprehension
- multiple writing tasks to complete
- articles & case studies to read
- speaking opportunities to record (audio and/or video)
- a community of peers to share and interact with
- to provide & receive feedback from your peers
