How thorough is the assessment?
Very thorough. As the assessment is remote, you will need to provide us with a lot of voice samples. Once you have purchased your assessment, you will gain access to an assessment page that includes three different audio recording exercises; a challenging passage, a list of 42 sentences, and a free flow format.
After completing the recordings and sending them to us for expert review, you will receive your Assessment Feedback. The feedback will provide you with a full breakdown of how well you perform all the sounds in British English, as well as some additional notes about your flow and voice quality. With the feedback in hand, you will know exactly which sounds you need to work on and you will have a reference playlist allowing you to hear all the sounds for comparison.
For students of the Pronunciation Course, the assessment is the best way to get started and there will also be direct links to the exact lessons you will need to help you work on any sounds highlighted in your feedback.
Who will assess me?
The assessments will be carried out by Anna English, the 'English Like A Native' founder.
After many years of training in voice production and accent, and her extensive experience as an elocution teacher and accent coach, her expert ear will pick up all the nuances of your voice in order to shed light on your way forward.
